Continued-My Scrapbooks of My Youngest Son

Only today and tomorrow left of my whole week of scrapbook layouts of my younger son!!  In about a week or so, I'll be doing a week of my older son!!  He will be turning 16!!  Enjoy!!

Photos at our local park!  It is beautiful there!!

We decided to visit an Indian Festival with my mom and dad!!  We learned a lot and the boys got to do all kinds of activities!!

The crime scene!!!  Shane and his brother were swinging on the swings and decided to close their eyes and twist and turn going up high on the swings.  Well, Shane being the closest to the clubhouse, hit it with his face!!  Yes, a mother's nightmare!!  Blood was everywhere and I wasn't sure if we should go to the hospital!!  We were able to get the bleeding to stop fairly quickly, but for the rest of the day his big brother was so worried and waited on him hand and foot!!  It was really cute!!

I love Disney World!!!  I have so many layouts of this place, it's crazy!!!

This is the front of one of his albums!!  They are all 8 1/2 by 11 binders so that I can decorate the front, back, and sides!!  I think last I counted there are 11 of them!!  Lol!!

Oh, the dreaded back to school shopping!!!  Actually, it's not that bad with my boys!!

This layout is really special because Cody is no longer with us!!  He used to love howling with us!!  We really miss him!!

More photos of my youngest son as he has grown into a handsome 12 year old!!!

Oh, how he loves the beach...and goggles!!!

 

This is his very own room!!!  He shared a room with his brother for a few years, and then it was time to separate them!!  The little brother (Shane) was becoming way too dependent on his older brother!!  So, it was time to give him his own room, racecar bed and all!!!

This is our annual Memorial Day tradition!!!  We decorate the graves of our loved ones who have passed on.  This is a tradition that I grew up doing and I want to pass it on to my children also!!

Oh, and Cub Scouts!!!  We spent 9 years in Cub Scouting!!!  My oldest son went through all of Cub Scouts and his now in Boy Scouts about to start his Eagle project.  Shane just went through Cub Scouts, and was not interested in pursuing Boy Scouts!!  I was a den leader for 5 years, and my husband was the Assistant Cub Master for 1 year, and the Cub Master for 3.

Finally, he was walking!!!  He was almost 16 months old before he decided to do it all on his own!!!

This first photo on this layout is my favorite photo of him!!  He was so perplexed by the feather he found on the beach that day!!  He couldn't believe that it belonged to a bird and that it had fallen off!!  So funny!!!

Oh, the Mr. Potato Head glasses!!!  And the vacuum with his "blankie"!!!  Priceless!!!

This old covered bridge is one of the many bridges that we used to cross on our way to Nana and Papa's house!!!  But it has been damaged and has been under constuction now for a few years!!  I can't wait until it's back in working order!!!

The birth of my youngest son!!!

A week or so before he was born, the doctor informed me that I was 1 ½ centimeters dilated.  I stayed paranoid for the next week and kept walking which I heard was great to help dilate more.

Again I was in my 37th week.  Four o’clock the morning of the 8th, I woke up to contractions.  I drank some water and laid on my left side for 45 minutes (advice the doctor had given me before when I had contractions).  Within that time they had worsened.  I woke Cory and told him and then went to page the doctor.  He called back and said to get to the hospital.  We arrived and found that I was now 4 ½ centimeters dilated.  The nurse said, “You’re going to have a baby today!”  They induced labor at 9:30 am because my body was not dilating anymore.  Apparently my epidural didn’t work well because I was in some serious pain.  I was not liking the doctor who kept telling me to push when it made the pain worse.

Finally, he was here, after pushing for 13 minutes ( it felt like more than that).  While delivering he had torn two places in my bladder that had to be repaired.  Quite painful again even with 2 more doses of numbing medicine.  It was worth it though, and the next day we got to go home.
