Family Heritage Scrapbooking

This is a 12 by 12 - 2 page spread from one of my family heritage scrapbook albums!!  My mom and I have done extensive research on all sides of her family!!  The Spotts are from her mom's father's side of the family!!  Did you get that? LOL!!

This is my 4th great grandfather!!!  Yeah, amazing, huh?

His name was Michael Spatz (Spotz) (Spotts).  He was born in 1786 in Pennsylvania.  He was baptized November 5, 1786 at Bern Church in Berk's County, Pennsylvania.  He was the son of Valentin Spatz and Margaret Schneider.

He married Magdelene Robeson (Robinson) (1793-1862) on September 5, 1811 in Berk's County, Pennsylvania.

They had 10 children:  Adeline, Benneville, Charles, Evangeline, Helena, Henry, Mary, Michael, Rueben, and William.

I am a descendant of William!!

Michael passed away in 1872 at the age of 86.  Magdelene passed in 1862 at the age of 69.  Both passed away and are buried in Berk's County, Pennsylvania.  Both are buried at Schwartzwald Cemetery in Berk's County, Pennsylvania.  This is the cemetery next to Schwartzwald United Church of Christ-Lutheran.

We have had a lot of fun doing our family research!!  It is definitley interesting!!  It's like putting a puzzle together, but it takes years!!! LOL!!
